I would teach the majority of my students at the Cygnet Theatre, Friar's Gate, EX2 4AZ. It is a great place to learn to sing, with all the resources that we need for our lessons. I also offer online lessons for those students who would prefer to learn via Zoom/Skype in the comfort of their own home.
I teach a wide array of different genres, including Musical Theatre, Classical, Jazz, Contemporary, Blues, Folk, Pop and Contemporary styles.
There is no obligation to come every week for years on end. Students are welcome to come to me for a one off lesson if there is something you want to look at specifically. I would suggest 1 or 2 hours for an intense short course as we can really get into the project you’re working on.
A bottle of water and a notepad. Please feel free to bring any sheet music or song titles of music you would like to work on.
I base all my singing lessons around you, so if you let me know before we start the style(s) of music you would like to sing and what your goals are, I will start with that. If you would like to bring music with you, I'm very happy to work on your choice of music, but this may not be from the first lesson.
No, I have taught quite a few retired singers right up until their 80's. It's about setting your goals based on what you want to sing and what you want to achieve.
